Diversity Awareness Workshops

Diversity Awareness Workshop

This two-day workshop is offered four times every academic year: twice before the beginning of Fall Quarter, once in Winter Quarter, and once in Spring Quarter. Participation is available by invitation only to UC Davis and UC Davis Health faculty, staff, and graduate students with teaching appointments.

Since its inception in 1993, this workshop has engaged participants in dialogues with colleagues with the goal of increasing awareness of and sensitivity to diversity on our campus. Part of the workshop is to discuss ways that we can operationalize our Principles of Community by exploring concepts related to social justice, equity, and inclusion, and how we may dismantle oppression, prejudice, and discrimination.

The application period for the Fall 2017 Diversity Awareness Workshop has closed.

To Fall 2017 applicants: If selected you will receive a confirmation letter in late July; if you are not selected, your name will be placed on the waiting list and you will be notified as space becomes available. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Campus Community Relations at occr@ucdavis.edu or (530) 752-2071.
