Synopsis: Gandhi's Way is a primer of Mahatma Gandhi's principles
of moral action and conflict resolution. In it one finds a straightforward,
step-by-step approach that can be used in any conflict: at home,
in business; and in local, national or international arenas. The
book sets out Gandhi's basic methods and illustrates them with practical
examples to show how parties can rise above self-interest to find
resolutions that are beneficial and satisfying to all.
Mark Juergensmeyer's book offers us an opportunity to engage in
a rich dialogue on how to foster mutual respect for conflicting
ideologies, values, and perspectives in our multicultural environment.
In addition, we anticipate using this book to examine many of the
divergent perspectives within our community to determine viable
solutions to conflicting viewpoints.
